Forza Horizon 6 is reportedly set to launch on PlayStation 5 on January 26, 2027, despite previous denials from developer Playground Games regarding any delays. The highly-anticipated open-world racing title is also expected to be available as a physical disc, priced at £59.99 in the UK.
This new information comes from Dealabs leaker billbil-kun, who has a strong track record for accuracy. An official announcement, alongside the opening of pre-orders on the PlayStation Store, is anticipated to occur this week.
Release Date and Pricing Details
According to billbil-kun, as reported by outlets including Eurogamer.net and AOL.com, Forza Horizon 6 will arrive on Sony’s console on January 26, 2027. The game is slated for a full-priced release, with a UK price tag of £59.99 and €69.99 in other European regions. This release will include a physical version, allowing players to purchase the game on disc from retail outlets.
The leaker was unable to confirm whether a Premium Edition, which typically offers an expansion pass, car pass, and other in-game bonuses on PC and Xbox, will be offered on PS5. It is speculated that an Xbox digital-only Premium Edition on PS5 might not be visible to billbil-kun’s retail-focused sources.
Developer Denials and Communication Concerns
The reported January 2027 release date follows a period of conflicting information regarding the game’s PS5 launch. Earlier reports from sources like The Verge and IGN had suggested a delay, which Playground Games publicly countered, insisting the game had not been pushed back. The developer subsequently opened wishlisting for Forza Horizon 6 on the PlayStation Store.
Just recently, Playground Games issued a statement on X (formerly Twitter), apologising for a general lack of communication surrounding the title and assuring players they were listening to feedback. They also pledged to review their communication strategies going forward.

The game encourages social interaction through cruising with friends, joining Car Meets, and collaborative building via EventLab and Horizon CoLab.
